Meerschaum means sea foam in German. It is a soft white clay mineral and is also called sepiolite. This set is in the shape of a floral bouquet. The set has some great patina. The earrings are clip on. The brooch has a simple clasp that is in working condition. This set was purchased in Izmir, Turkey during the 1970's by original owner. It comes with the original bag it was purchased in. The bag reads: EL-IS FERIT ORERSOY 1, Kordon 1382 So. 27C IZMIR.
Measurements: The brooch measures a little over 1 6/8 inches across and the earrings are 1 1/8 inches.
