Antique Victorian Gold Filled Square Locket | Gold Filled Engraved Locket | SKM Co Locket | Antique Photo Locket

The square locket features a decorative Japonesque style engraving on the front side and a smooth finish on the back side. The locket opens and inside it contains one little frame which holds a photo in place. This piece is ready to add your loved ones photo.

Weight: 4.5 grams

Measurements: 1.0015 inches long with bail and 0.6755 inches wide

Marks: As with many antique pieces, the locket is unmarked for metal content. I believe it is gold filled/plated. Inside it is marked Co inside a partial shield. Having had other similar lockets I can identify that the mark although misaligned is for the S.K. Merrill & Company of Providence, Rhode Island which was in production from about 1871-1915.

Condition: Hinge and closure are working and it snaps shut. There is loss to the gold plating on the locket (please see photos).
