Vintage Egyptian Revival Scarab Bracelet | 14k Yellow Gold Filled Scarab Bracelet | W.E. Richards Symmetalic Carved Scarab Gemstone Bracelet
The bracelet features 5 bezel set carved stone cabochons separated by oval open work links. The stones are carved to resemble scarab beetles. The back of the stones are open so you can see the carved stones from both sides. The stones I believe are chalcedony (red, blue and green stones), quartz (clear stone), and tigers eye (brown stone). Scarab jewelry is said to represent good luck, rebirth and regeneration. The gemstones used in the bracelet also carry with them their own meaning. The bracelet was made by the W.E. Richards Company which was founded in North Attleboro, MA in 1902. The company produced the Symmetalic costume jewelry line starting in 1936, which was made of sterling silver with gold overlay metals on the pieces.
