Vintage Marquetry Wood Box | Chinese Inlaid Wood Box | Wood Jewelry Box

The box is a rectangular shape with inlaid wood veneers in varying colors comprising the scrolling leaf and floral design. The box originally had wallpaper decorating the interior but the only tiny remnant that was left inside the box was removed. This little box still has life left in it and the inside can be relined/painted by buyer if preferred. There is some wear and missing pieces to the veneer (on the sides) and the original key is missing. I think it may lock if another key is found as it still has the inside key hinge piece.

Measurements: it measures approximately 9 1/2 inches at longest and 5 1/2 inches at widest. The box is approximately 2 3/8 inches deep.

Weight: 1 lb 1.6 ounces

Markings: It is marked on the bottom Zao.

Condition: This is a vintage item and shows wear consistent with age/use. See photos. This is a lovely wooden box that can be used for storing jewelry or any other treasures you may have.
