Antique Victorian Love Token Charm | OLIVE, Bridge and Sailboat Scene Charm | Nautical Scene Love Token

The charm is created from an antique coin and is decoratively hand engraved with the name Olive on one side and has decorative nautical scene on the other side showing a suspension bridge with a sailboat underneath, flying birds and reed grass. I had the token set by my jeweler on a handmade coin bezel holder making it ready to wear.

Love tokens are coins where one or sometimes both sides have been smoothed down and engraved with scenes, initials, names and/or phrases. During the Victorian era, these were often given as “tokens of love” among lovers, friends and family. They served as tangible reminders of their bonds, love and in difficult times grief.
