Step back in time with this stunning antique Art Deco Order of Elks card holder fob locket. This exquisite piece features a beautifully geometric vertical design on the front, highlighted by a monogrammed "M" at its center. The locket is rectangular shaped and has a kiss lock closure. The inside has 4 applied cutout letters B,P,O,E. The letters stand for Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks which is an American fraternal organization that was founded in New York City in 1868. The BPOE is also known as the Elks Lodge or simply "The Elks". This locket may have held stamps, member cards, etc. This locket has an accompanying watch chain.

Marks: unmarked for metal content. Acid tested as silver, I believe it to be gold plated over silver. The watch chain is made by ‘MGBM’ (Manufacture Genevoise de Boites Montres).
Measurements: locket is 3.1650 inches long and 1.3035 inches wide. Watch chain is 14 3/8 inches long and 3.3 mm at widest
Condition: Hinge and closure are working and it snaps shut nicely and securely. There is wear and character to the piece consistent with age/use (see photos). The piece has not been polished and shows patina which can be cleaned by buyer if preferred.
