The brooch is shaped like a sword with an applied Stag's head set half way on the blade. The hilt of the sword is set with a large round purple color stone (untested) and another smaller round one is set between the stag's antlers.

Marks: Partial mark of ?C&S Sterling
The C-clasp and t-bar hinge are in working condition.
