Antique Georgian Conversion Solitare Diamond Pendant | Antique Rose Cut Diamond Pendant

The pendant features a decorative tear drop frame with a rub over collet bezel set foiled rose cut diamond in the center and V-bail. The diamond in this pendant is perfectly imperfect given the technology of the time period it was set into this piece.

The Georgian period ( 1714 to 1837) covered the reigns of five English kings, four named George and one William. The reigns of George I, II, III, IV, and William IV.

This pendant came from an authenticated Georgian Era Rose Cut Diamond Necklace. I wanted the necklace to be worn more often and since it was already a marriage piece of different Georgian components I had my jeweler take it apart lovingly to create new everyday pieces. Some of the pieces are now part of my collection and some I have listed to share with you.

The diamond on this piece has a closed foiled setting. Foiled stones have to be worn with care not to immerse them in water or risk damaging the delicate foil. The pendant has been polished by my jeweler during the conversion. If you like patina don't worry because over time the silver will take on the darkened tone giving the pendant back some of its real age; unless of course you keep polishing it.

Measurements: 0.7690 inches long and 0.3385 inches wide. The diamond is approximately 4.64 mm (the measurement is approximate due to stone settings).

Weight: 2.0 grams

Markings: The component setting is acid tested as silver. The bail is sterling silver. The stone is tested as a diamond.
