Victorian Etruscan Revival Brooch | Antique Turquoise Bar Brooch
The brooch is comprised of scrolled accents, horizontal twisted wire and granulation design on a winged end bar frame. The brooch has a center diamond shaped bezel set turquoise on a gold dome with granulated balls. The winged edges are open backed and the center is a rolled tube. The Victorian Etruscan Revival period was from 1860-1885 after several Archaeological discoveries of Etruscan tombs unearthed beautiful gold jewelry leading to an interest in their jewelry methods and history.
Weight: 3.5 grams
Measurement: approximately 2.169 inches longest (end to end) and 0.421 inches at widest.
Marks: unmarked but tests as 14K gold. The pin closure itself is not gold and looks to be a white base metal.
Condition: The brooch has a working safety c-clasp and t-bar hinge.
