The necklace has 27 links which feature a center prong set marcasite. The box clasp closure also has two center prong set marcasites and a safety closure for additional security. The links lead down to a pendulum type design which has three amethysts, two small bezel set onyx side accents and a large center onyx with a marcasite surround. You can see on the back of the piece they took great care to make the stone settings.
The necklace was made by Heirloom 73 which was created in 1973 by Murry and Mildred Shapiro. Their Vintage Creations was a division that specialized in high quality marcasite jewelry.
Marks: Sterling and the Heirloom 73 (stylized H with the 7 over the 3) makers mark.

Measurements: The necklace measures approx. 7 1/2 inches clasped. The pendulum pendant part hangs almost 1.885 inches in length and a little over 1 inches wide. The pendant features and bezel set onyx (measures 17.03mm), two smaller bezel set onyx' on the side (4.72mm) and three rectangle amethyst (8.33mm).
This is a beautifully made piece of jewelry.
