The large brooch has a beautiful enamel design of a Russian Dancer. The dancer's face is created from a faux pearl and his enameled coat has clear rhinestone button accents. The brooch may depict the The Russian Cossack dance known as Kazachok or Kozachok dance or the Ukrainian Hopak dance, or squat dance. It is believed that the Cossack or Hopak was first danced in the 1600s in southern Russia and Ukrainian military communities.
