Vintage One Cent Tea Pot Charm | Exonumia | Wheat Penny Charm
Vintage One Cent Tea Pot Charm | Exonumia | Wheat Penny Charm
The little charm was created from a one cent Wheat penny hammered and soldered into the shape of a tea pot. You can still see some of its former life as a coin; you can read parts of the words: One Cent United States America on the bottom of the pot. It has a lid which doesn't open and a swinging handle. It comes with a Sterling Silver spit ring making it ready to wear or add to a charm bracelet. Doing some research online..the creation of these tea pots has been attributed to inmates from Prisons to regular citizens who were part of the Civilian Conservation Corps (work relief program started by Franklin Roosevelt); what ever the real story these pieces are made by hand and are little works of art.
Measurements: 0.5340 inches long and 0.6685 inches wide; with split ring it hangs 1.0725 inches long.
Weight: 5.2 grams
This is a great gift for the Coin Collector in your life.
