The brooch features a filigree wire pierced work frame and decorative wire bezel that holds the center shell cameo. The wire frame is decorated with four square blue glass meant to simulate sapphires. The shell cameo has a lady in left profile wearing a robe and with a flower decoration in her hair and right shoulder.
