The pendant was made to commemorate the wedding of Lady Diana Spencer to Charles Philip Arthur George; the Prince of Wales on July 29, 1981. The pendant is in the shape of a horseshoe and has the names Charles and Diana engraved with an applied Prince of Wales's feathers badge at the center and the year 1981 radiating from below the feathers.
